THE 2023 LINCOLN AVIATOR

vs 2023 Audi Q7

See How the 2023 Lincoln Aviator Is Superior to the Competition

It doesn't take long for Ohio families to discover that the new Lincoln Aviator is in a league of its own. This new Lincoln SUV allows Parma motorists to be the pilot as they soak in luxurious amenities.

Before driving off our lot with the keys to a 2023 Lincoln Aviator, Ken Ganley Lincoln of Middleburg Heights wants customers from the Cleveland, Ohio metro to make a well-informed decision. That's why we compare the 2023 Lincoln Aviator to the 2023 Audi Q7, another three-row mid-size luxury SUV with seating for seven passengers. See which luxurious family SUV is right for your loved ones on rides between Middleburg Heights and Cleveland.

Performance

The new Lincoln Aviator can earn up to 26 miles per gallon on Ohio highways between Akron and Cleveland, compared to 25 miles per gallon on the Audi Q7. The Audi Q7 has a 7,700-pound maximum towing capacity, while the Lincoln Aviator's 6,700-pound maximum towing rating can help families from Middleburg Heights haul their campers, boats, and trailers on any getaway trip.

Only outputting 261 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque from a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine, the Audi Q7's base model is less powerful than Lincoln's SUV. The Lincoln Aviator's standard 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine delivers 400 horsepower and 415 pound-feet of torque. The Audi Q7 offers a 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 powertrain, but it only generates 335 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque.

The Audi Q7 fails to offer a plug-in hybrid option. The Lincoln Aviator Grand Touring (PHEV) lets Middleburg Heights drivers reach their Cleveland, Ohio destination with 21 miles of all-electric range. The Lincoln Aviator's PHEV variant combines an electric motor with the same V6 powertrain to achieve 494 horsepower and 630 pound-feet of torque. Each SUV gives Akron motorists all-wheel drive options, with the Audi Q7 featuring quattro® all-wheel drive.

Interior

Both new luxury SUVs have three rows of seating for seven passengers to accommodate most Akron families. With 18 cubic feet of storage and a max cargo volume of 78 cubic feet, the Lincoln Aviator gives Middleburg Heights families more space to work with. The Audi Q7 offers 14 to 70 cubic feet of cargo space.

The Audi Q7 offers individual contour front seats, but the Lincoln Aviator keeps Parma motorists more relaxed on trips to Cleveland with 30-way power-adjustable front massaging seats. Quad-zone automatic climate control in the Lincoln Aviator is superior to three-zone automatic climate control in the Audi Q7. Auto Air Refresh offers holistic air filtration for the Lincoln Aviator. This active air monitoring system is not featured on Audi's SUV. The Lincoln Aviator and Audi Q7 have luxurious captain's chairs in the second row. Both SUVs offer a panoramic sunroof to let natural light in on rides from Medina to Cleveland, Ohio. From genuine wood trim to leather seats, each SUV lets passengers in Strongsville, OH families soak in a true luxury experience.

Exterior

Both new luxury SUVs have a hands-free tailgate to help Middleburg Heights drivers load and unload their crossover with ease, even when they have full hands. The Audi Q7 and the Lincoln Aviator both provide LED headlights to illuminate roads around Cleveland, Ohio. Matrix-design LED headlights are available for Audi's SUV, while Lincoln's SUV counters with Adaptive Pixel LED Headlamps for crisp illumination on the streets of Akron and Cleveland. Each SUV rides on standard 19-inch wheels, but the Audi Q7 can't match the exclusive Black Label wheels offered by the Lincoln Aviator. The Audi Q7 is less personalized than its rival. The Lincoln Aviator delivers a personalized experience to Parma drivers, who can pick out the Flight, Chalet, or Destination theme.

Technology

Each new luxury SUV gives Strongsville, Ohio drivers seamless smartphone access through Apple Car Play® and Android Auto integration. Wireless charging and rear USB ports offered in both SUVs help passengers in Parma families plug in on long voyages. The Lincoln Aviator's 12.3-inch digital driver information display matches the Q7's instrument cluster size with Audi virtual cockpit plus.

The Lincoln Aviator has a 10.1-inch infotainment screen and lets Cleveland drivers connect to their SUV and use voice controls through SYNC® 3 AppLink®. Alexa compatibility offered on the Lincoln Aviator is missing in Audi's SUV. Through Audi MMI® touch response and a 10.1-inch screen, the Q7 provides haptic feedback, along with handwriting recognition for a secondary touchscreen measuring 8.6 inches. It'll feel like Akron drivers are attending a Cleveland concert with 3D sound provided by each luxury SUV. There are more strategically placed speakers in Lincoln's crossover. The Lincoln Aviator offers a 28-speaker Revel® Ultima 3D Audio System, compared to the Audi Q7's 17-speaker Bang & Olufsen 3D sound system.

Safety

There's no suite of driver-assist technology for the Audi Q7. The Lincoln Aviator packages the Lincoln Co-Pilot360â„¢ 1.5 suite to give Parma motorists peace of mind traveling through Cleveland traffic. The Audi Q7 can't top the Lincoln Aviator's Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control feature with Speed Sign Recognition, which provides additional confidence on highways between Akron and Cleveland.

Lincoln's safety suite also packages Evasive Steering Assist, Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking, Reverse Brake Assist, a Rear View Camera, Auto High-Beam Headlamps, and a Blind Spot Information System with Cross-Traffic Alert. When Medina Lincoln Aviator owners arrive at their Akron destination, they can easily maneuver into tight spaces with Active Park Assist 2.0. The Audi Q7 counters with remote park assist plus and a top view camera system with 3D camera views. Other Audi Q7 safety features include adaptive cruise assist with lane guidance, high beam assist, Audi side assist, and lane departure warning. Both SUVs offer a head-up display.

Pricing

With a starting price of $53,340, the Lincoln Aviator is the more affordable SUV for Akron families. The 2023 Audi Q7's base model costs nearly $6,000 more, starting at $59,200. Don't forget that your Cleveland metro Lincoln Black Label dealer in Middleburg Heights provides incentives and special offers to buy or lease a new Lincoln Aviator SUV for less.
