The New Lincoln Navigator vs The Cadillac Escalade
Which Large Luxury SUV Suits Cleveland Drivers Better
If you want an SUV that's opulent, yet affordable and powerful, yet efficient, you should get the new Lincoln Navigator. This large luxury SUV has everything Medina drivers crave, including the available Lincoln BlueCruise hands-free driving system. The new Cadillac Escalade is also a refined, full-size luxury SUV, but it can't match the overall excellence of the Lincoln Navigator. Ken Ganley Lincoln Middleburg Heights has put together the following comparison of the two SUVs to show you why.
Vehicle Comparison

Cabin Design/Materials
You'll love spending time inside the new Lincoln Navigator. Its lavish interior has an uncluttered appearance, with sumptuous materials such as standard leather upholstery and genuine wood trim blended with modern, high-tech displays and switches. People in Parma will like how placid the Lincoln Navigator is inside, thanks to its sophisticated sound-dampening technology and acoustic laminated door glass. Lincoln Navigator Black Label models are available in themes such as Central Park, Invitation, Yacht, and Chalet. The new Cadillac Escalade also has an elegant cabin, but it's not quite as upscale as the Lincoln Navigator's interior. It comes standard with synthetic leather upholstery, and cabin themes are not available.
Ride and Handling
The new Lincoln Navigator is surprisingly nimble despite its large frame. Its responsive steering and well-built chassis give it composed handling with minimal body roll when going around corners. The Lincoln Navigator's standard Adaptive Suspension with Road Preview absorbs the impacts of most bumps in the road for a coddling ride on pavement. The new Cadillac Escalade is more cumbersome, with more body roll when driving around turns.

Infotainment and Entertainment Systems
A good infotainment system can help you stay alert and entertained on long road trips. It can also keep the kids from getting bored and restless. The new Lincoln Navigator's SYNC 4 infotainment system has clear graphics and swift responses to inputs. It also features cloud-based connectivity for over-the-air (OTA) software updates, so you don't have to do them at a dealership. Middleburg Heights drivers will appreciate the Lincoln Navigator's optional dual-screen rear entertainment system, which has Amazon Fire TV compatibility.
The new Cadillac Escalade also has a feature-rich infotainment system with an intuitive menu layout, but it doesn't have over-the-air software update capability. Additionally, its available rear-seat entertainment system is not compatible with Amazon Fire TV.
Standard Engine Power
You'll have no trouble merging onto the Ohio Turnpike in Strongsville, OH with the new Lincoln Navigator. It comes standard with a twin-turbocharged V6 engine that generates 440 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque. A smooth-shifting 10-speed automatic transmission makes good use of its power.
The new Cadillac Escalade's base V8 engine only produces 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. Stronger engines are available in the Escalade, but you have to pay more to get them.
SAFETY
You'll rest assured about your safety in the new Lincoln Navigator. Cautious people in Medina will feel good knowing that the Lincoln Navigator received five out of five stars in ratings by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. It comes with 10 standard driver assistance features, including automatic high-beam headlights.
The new Cadillac Escalade only earned four out of five stars from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Like the Lincoln Navigator, the Escalade comes with a slew of advanced active safety features. However, automatic high-beam headlights are not available in the Escalade.
Standard Gas Mileage
Large SUVs aren't generally very efficient, but the new Lincoln Navigator gets good fuel economy for its size. Akron drivers who want to spend less on gas will appreciate that rear-wheel drive models earn 17 mpg in the city and 23 mpg on the highway. Four-wheel-drive Lincoln Navigators return 16 mpg in the city and 22 mpg on the highway.
The new Cadillac Escalade only earns 14 mpg in the city and 19 mpg on the highway with its base gas engine. An optional turbodiesel engine gets better fuel economy, but diesel usually costs more than gasoline.

Towing Capacity
If you need to pull a boat to the Edgewater Public Boat Ramp in Cleveland, OH, the new Lincoln Navigator has ample muscle to do it. When equipped with the available Heavy-Duty Trailer Tow Package, the Lincoln Navigator can tow up to 8,700 pounds.
The new Cadillac Escalade has a towing capacity of just 8,200 pounds with the proper configuration.

LINCOLN DRIVE MODES
Five standard, distinct Lincoln Drive Modes offer confidence, exhilaration and control, while Slow Climb, a sixth available drive mode, comes with the Heavy-Duty Trailer Tow Package on 4x4 models.
PRICE
The new Lincoln Navigator's starting MSRP is nearly the same as that of the new Cadillac Escalade. However, it costs less for the range-topping trim. Lincoln Navigator Black Label models have a base price that is much lower than the new Cadillac Escalade V Series' entry-level cost.
